A Flavour of France ()
Lichfield Cathedral Chorus’ summer concert brings the ever-popular Cantique de Jean Racine, by Gabriel Faure, to the Cathedral. The serenity of the Cantique is complemented by the drama of Vierne’s Messe Solonnelle, accompanied by the thundering tones of the cathedral’s two organs, and the beauty of Gounod’s St Cecilia Mass.
